Amidst all the holiday dinner yumminess we’re sharing this week and next, Crist and I thought it would be fun to host some little giveaways! We wanted to do it as a way to spread some holiday cheer, and also thank all of our readers for continuing to visit and support our little old blog. It’s been a fun year for us, trying and writing new recipes, and we’re excited to do a whole lot more cooking, baking, and eating in 2013!
Today’s giveaway is: HOMEMADE COOKIES!!
The prize will consist of one batch of homemade cookies (about 3 dozen) of your choice. You can choose between the following:
Brown Sugar Oatmeal Coconut Chewies
Surprise Me! (I will choose which cookies to send you)
Entering is quite simple. Just leave me a comment that contains two things:
1.) Something interesting about yourself
2.) What kind of cookies you would like!
Here is the boring, but necessary, info about the giveaway:
You may only enter once (so if you comment more than once, you’ll still only be entered to win one time), and you must enter by 11:59pm EST on Sunday, December 16, 2012. You must enter an email address when you leave your comment, so that I can contact you in the event you’re the winner. If you do not include your email address, you will not be entered to win. The winner will be chosen via random number generator, and I will email the winner first thing Monday morning. The winner must respond with their mailing address by 3pm EST on Monday, December 17, or another winner will be drawn. The cookies will be shipped on Tuesday, December 18.
Please note that the cookies will be made in my home kitchen, which means I cannot guarantee the absence of any particular allergen (dairy, peanuts, tree nuts, eggs, soy, etc). I am an equal-opportunity food-lover, so all manner of foods come through my kitchen, and despite my tendency to be quite finicky about cleaning my dishes and utensils, there is the chance that traces of ANY of those allergens could be present in the cookies. Please keep this in mind as you enter!
Now, comment away, and win yourself some cookies!
I promise I won’t judge you if you eat them all yourself,
Tina
GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED. Thanks for entering!
Hello, my name is Rachel, and if I won, I think I would pick the Oatmeal Brown Sugar cookies with coconut because my husband doesn’t like coconut. That way, I could eat them all by myself! But if I was feeling generous, I’d pick the oatmeal Heath cookies because he loves Heath. Tough choice (not really). Merry Christmas!
Also, I think I forgot to enter my email address: rnoelhaney@gmail.com. And my interesting thing was that my husband hates coconut and I think that’s awful.
Something about me is that I am in love with pistachios! all of your cookies look delicious! I would be happy with any of them but snowball cookies are my favorite cookie of all time!
Something interesting about me is that I think that Tina and Crist are really, really pretty. And I also really, really like cookies. xo
fun fact: i like treats.
i choose… hm. ginger. and coconut.
thank you kindly.
No matter how many times you comment, you remain ineligible to win. My apologies.

it was not in the official rules.
I would love some Brown Sugar Oatmeal Coconut Chewies. And my interesting fact is that I hate coconut but I still want those cookies. SMELL IT.
Hmmm…such a hard choice but one I don’t mind making. I would choose the pecan snowballs!! Why? Bc it will probably be the closing thing to a snowball ill see here in GA 🙂
Something interesting about me? Well, I hate FEET. I like mine but no one else’s. ha! They are gross, ugly and clammy!! Haha!! Maybe I’ve said too much! 🙂
The Ginger Sparklers.
As for the something interesting is that I am the oldest of 7. Two of my siblings live with their families out of the country (one in China and one in Europe). I am unable to fly as I have DVT (which I developed shortly after I got married–14 yrs ago) but I do not let that deter me.
i love to bake cookies but I am terrible at it….i can never roll out the dough right and it turns into a big mess!
I would love the peacan cookies 🙂
Ginger sparklers please. And if Crist wins I’m reporting this giveaway to the blog regulation commission.
this is discrimination.
I should’ve known you’d back me up. Thank goodness someone besides me is reasonable!

1. Fun fact: I have not baked in…oh, approximately 5 years…it was a lemon bundt cake and it was amazing. I may or may not have bought cheese grater that I believed to be a lemon zester to make that cake…
2. Chewy Ginger Sparklers! (pick me! pick me! maybe your chewy ginger cookies will inspire me!)
Since I’ve been decreed as eligible and I like all kind of cookies, please draw my name. Not to be picky, but I’d prefer a recipe with whole milk, real butter and lots of sugar.
Ginger anything, I love it. When eating gingerbread men, I always eat one arm first, then one leg, then other arm/leg, head, body. I feel like he can be okay with one arm (Soul Surfer!), or even without one arm and leg, but when all arms and legs are gone and he’s just a stump of his former self, I go ahead and eat the head so that he’s out of his misery. So clearly, the round ginger cookies are a better, less agonizing option for me.
Hmm! I love all of those cookies, but maybe the snowballs the best! Something about me? I LOVE to bake, and I absolutely LOOOOOVE the BEACH!!!!! I am already ready for summer!
Surprise me! I have enjoyed cooking and trying new things for years. Crist was never interested in cooking at all growing up. Now she intimidates me! I don’t like to grate cheese for my recipes either!
Fact about me? I like frozen treats. I would freeze juice and chew on the ice blocks. Plain ice blocks are no substitute. When I ate at the school mess hall, I always end my meal with a frozen yogurt cone. Since I get to make the cone, it is usually a minimum of a foot tall. 🙂
The Brown Sugar Oatmeal Coconut Chewies sounds tasty.
Interesting fact about me: I am currently living with my inlaws while our house is being built so I NEED these cookies!! I want the Ginger cookies!! Crist, I will send you half 🙂
1) interesting fact about me – I don’t like to read those romance novels, I can’t stand those soap operas on tv, but I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE, LOVE love songs. 🙂 Lol, yeah, how does that make any sense?
2) Chewy Ginger Sparklers

Fun fact: I was there the day the Southern Belle and Yankee Baker first met in person! And I love ALL of these cookies. I potentially love the Coconut Chewies or Heath Bar cookies the most, but that really depends on the day. Also, Diane’s comment is my favorite. I laughed about the cheese grater for a good five minutes (miss you, D!!).
Yummy giveaway.. I think I would like the ginger, Brown Sugar Oatmeal Coconut Chewies, and the heath oatmeal.
Hi this is Cookie Monster. I want cookie. Yum Yum.
This is my favorite time of year. I love the lights, the smells coming from the kitchen, the love.
God Bless You Yankee Baker and Southern Belle. Keep the great food coming. Merry Christmas!
Hi there! My name is Sarah, and I came across your recipe on Pinterest during one of my mid-night nursing sessions. I’m a new mom and can’t wait to make the brown sugar oatmeal coconut cookies for my family this holiday season and my baby girl’s first Christmas!
